Paradise Easter Egg Hunt
We went to the Easter Egg Hunt this morning, and it was interesting. I have to ask myself: why do I do it, why do I take my child to a place where there are millions of other children all competing for some boiled eggs and a couple of docsile bunnies? Well, because that's what I did when I was little. I remember going down to the square with my dad, and running in the cold towards the eggs. Just as I would get there, another child would grab the egg first. With my dad's encouragement, I would get 2 or three eggs. Then, we would go over to where we chase the bunnies. I would wait for the signal to go, then I would run to the bunny, but then the other children were going for that same bunny, so I would back off and then stand there and cry. I have to say that Lexi is just like her mother. She refused to search for eggs without me there. She wouldn't go for an egg if there was another child anywhere near it. I was quite surprised that she ended up with three eggs. Then, we went to catch a bunny. Lexi was right there in line, one foot on the starting line, the other stretched back, ready to push off as soon as the signal was given. Bruce Obray tells them to go, and the other children take off, Lexi is as still as a statue. So I ask her why she didn't go, and she scowls at me and then groans loudly. I assured her that she does not have to chase a bunny, but she decides that she wants to try again. So she lines up again, and Bruce tells them to go. She stands there frozen. This time, she starts to cry, and hits me, like I was the one forcing her to do this. So, I ask you again: why do I go to the Easter Egg Hunt?

Hello from Paradise
This is a momentous occasion, as this is my first ever blog! And here I am, at a loss for words. I suppose I will just update you on whats going on: Lexi and I are still living with my parents in Paradise, I am employed at Alpine Orthopaedics, in the billing dept, and Lexi is going to Little Wonders for daycare and preschool. Lexi is growing up so fast! She will be 5 years old in May. We really enjoy living in Paradise, it's like coming back home!
